Removing 106ff

Anybody know any tricks or products to remove 106ff? It seems as if it is the only product that gives me a hard time removing after it has been worked in. Is this normal?

Sounds like you are not working 106 long enough. Work it till it goes clear. If you are still having problems because of humidity do a IPA wipe down.

yup totally agree :xyxthumbs

Wow, super fast response! Thanks! Does 106 need to be worked in longer than other products? It seem this is the only one I have this problem with.

What combo are you using (pad wise?)......If it is working in properly, wiping is off is pain free :D

Try adding a little splash of distilled wated to the bottle and shake like you have never shaken before. This will help.

I am lost :p ...do you mean adding distilled water into 106FF ? And what will be a good dilution ratio ?

It really depends on how the mixture is in the bottle. I usually add an ounce to every 32 ounces. You have to shake it for hours, and I am not even kidding about it neither. If it is not shaken enough, you will get a runny viscosity.

While you might not be working it long enough, it still leave a residue around that for best results needs IPA or "prepsol" wipe down. I worked it for minutes before just as an experiment and still had to work to remove ALL.

At least in Florida that is how all (minus IP or PowerGloss) Menzerna is. You can work it for 5-6 minutes and it flashes off... It just goes and goes and goes, and removal is never easy.

I have been adding water to compounds and polishes for 15 years.

Crap, I've been watering down all my cleaners this whole time to stretch them a little further, but never thought about it with polishes!! I can't believe all the money I could have saved. :bawling: Thanks for the tip. Like I told you before, I think you need to invest in a pan can shaker. :up
