Removin water spot after washing with a QD?

Hihi its me again with another weird idea lolz ... You know sometimes when we wash our cars and do not dry it THAT throughly ...(don't ask me why but my towels are not WW MF towels and are sometimes not that absorbant)

so when I lay my towel over the car and pat it dry ... there will still be a TINY TINY bit of water left over which MAY turn out into water spots. This will not be a problem if we are waxing our cars but we do not wax our cars everytime we wash it right? :D

So can we go over the car with a QD like Meguiars QuikDetail (I cannot find FI here) and wipe out any water spots?

Can water spots be removed this way? I am not referring to water spots caused after a downpour as I know this may cause scratches to your car (will it?)

Always glad to see another south east asian poster hehe...

To answer your question, simple answer is yes, you can use a QD spray to remove the remaining droplets, that's what I do as well, pat dry, then for a final wipe, I spray QD with MF towel, otherwise, I'll always get some (very few) micromarring on my wax layer.

Yes, I do this many times even when there is no waterspotting. I think that you should always qd after washing (using a mf with the qd of course; one to apply and one to buff dry). This way you will always extend the gloss life from the wax/bring back the shine.:up

Is it easy to get the products that they use here? Those MF towels ... Wax like S100 .. blah blah blah?

Nice to know you :D

I heard your side wax only lasts a few weeks ... is pollution that bad in phili?

Does not matter if QD has wax in it or not right? :D

Great .. now I can don't go crazy over trying to get rid of EACH and EVERY water streak that I see ... Just wanted to ask you guys as you may have done this b4 and I want to know if it works or not .. will try it at my next washing session :D

Hee save my drying time by a lot ... now I can pat dry with 1 towel and leave some water streaks on even if its not totally dry ... Then use a QD to wipe up those left over water mark ... Should work right lolz :D

Yup, a product like Meg 26 won't last 3-4 weeks in good weather... won't last a week during the rainy season...

No, it's not that easy to get S100 and the like... Meg, 3M, Mother's, EO are quite easy... the rest... No... :(

You sound like you have a handle on the waxes. I think that autoglym is great. IMO klasse is the best as you can leave it alone or top it with any carnauba wax like ps21. I am not sure if you can get klasse there, but do a search because I saw a thread on a similar product (could be the makers of klasse) in europe that would be able to ship to you. Einzett is another sealant wax that you should be able to get that is also great.

I was thinking of trying 3M showroom paste wax over AG Extra Gloss Protection .... although not VERY GREAT reviews on it .. but at least its readily available ... wanted to get something that is READILY available ... :D

Actually Zaino is also available here ... but heard its a great DUST magnet lolz
