Removed Stripes and need help

I just removed the vinyl decals from my car and i have a lot of adhesive still on the car that i cant get off. I used some goo-gone and got a lot off but there is still a ton left on it and it wont come off. What should i do to remove the rest.
 
I was instructed to use lacquer thinner by a body shop when I encountered the same problem a few years back, but was warned to be *extremely* careful because it softened the clear. Basically, just dab a tiny bit on a soft rag and very gently rub it off. After you are done you will need to repolish and protect the areas.



Again, this is a very aggressive approach so wait and see if someone else gives you a less abrasive method to try first, but it does work. Worked great for me, and the truck looked excellent with no negative effects.

I haven't tried it, but I've seen it mentioned a number of times. You might be able to find it at Wal-Mart, local hardware stores, or a paint/bodyshop supply store in your area.

Use reducer and a rag, it will take them right out of business. Immediately follow with QD because reducer will damage clear if left on.
 
Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive cleaner to remove the adhesive, if the glue is thick try reducing its mass with a plastic razor blade and apply heat from a hairdryer in conjunction with the 3M cleaner.



The 'Eraser Wheel' by Wurth is also worth trying (don't have a link)

The 3M gen purpose cleaner works great on stuff like that, but i find it quite stinky.





You can also find eraser wheels from autobody shops. Typically they are put onto die grinders but you can use them on a drill.
