Removal of superglue???

A few days ago my wife asked me to glue a leather strap that fell off of her shoe. I applied a little superglue to the leather and stuck it back onto the shoe. The problem is.....I dripped some glue on our marble bathroom sink (light tan) and didn't realize it until today. I tried everything to get it off...GooGone, Rubbing Alcohol, Kerosene, Fingernail polish remover and even Tarminator. Does anyone have any other ideas on what I can use without damaging or discoloring the marble?

I was thinking that, but wasn't sure if I would scratch the marble. I will try the superglue remover. Thanks guys.
 
acetone gets rid of superglue. Your wife/GF's nailvarnsh remover is exactly what you want...



BUT



be careful as it can also damage the surface so apply carefully only to the glue spot and work it a little before wiping off.
 
I have found most recent nail polish removers have cut back on the acetone amounts. You can get 100% acetone at most hardware stores (atleast I have seen it in Home Depot I think). It shouldn't be too expensive.



As a side note, Acetone gets rid of sharpie SUPER easy. So if you have a kid that drew on something with a permanent marker, acetone will dissolve it easily.



I know because I am a chemist and I write on ALL of my glassware with sharpie and then have a squirt bottle of pure acetone that will take it RIGHT off. Just soak a paper towel and wipe. Off it comes.
 
Acetone is one of the few things that will soften superglue. Keep in mind it will not disolve it mearly soften it. You might be better off picking at it will a popsicle stick or plastic stick.
