Removal of Paint Dot on New Tires

My tires are directional - that's why I have two tires with dots showing and two tires without.
 
Wow, I believe there are way to many answers here, many of them pointless. For one, GC and a brush is NOT going to take the dot off. Nor will A2Z. IVe used the following to take off the dots:



- Megs Body Solvent with a Megs tire brush

- Mineral Spirts with a paper towel

- 000 Steel wool with Amazing Roll Off
 
Lacquer Thinner wins the day!



I decided to skip the intermediate steps and go with the heavy duty paint remover chemical: lacquer thinner. I got the lacquer thinner from the paint section of Lowe's home improvement.



Here were my steps:



1) Using rubber gloves and an old terry cloth shop rag - I applied lacquer thinner directly to the 2 yellow paint dots . Results? - Both paint dots were completely gone in about 12 seconds total (6 seconds each). It came off as easy as pie, no need for scrubbing.

2) washed all 4 tires/wheels using double strength concentration Meg's GC wash and Meg's versa-angle tire brush.

3) dried tires/wheels with Vroom orange MF towels.

4) applied Duragloss 253 TMD dressing with Eagle One tire swipes and allowed dressing to sit for an hour.

5) wiped excess dressing off with Vroom orange MF towel.





Result - the new Bridgestone tires look awesome and paint dots entirely gone.





Thanks for all the great advice on this thread.



If this situation comes up for someone else - I highly recommend the lacquer thinner to take care of the problem easily.
