Today the electrician showed up and we got most the lights on the stairs done, lights around the pool on a photocell instead of a timer, and fixed the bug lamp. Touched up the driveway in spots. Painter got the chimneys and some parts of the front over hang. Rain has delayed the work for the day. It was also discovered in the replacing of the shutters that the bottoms ones are made of plastic and top ones are made of wood. We are having problems finding replacment plastic ones right now.
Your pool looks fantastic. I love seeing crystal clear water in swimming pools and have to hold in laughter when some claim to have clear water :chuckle:

We have the pool man come once a week to keep it clean. Also when we redid the pool we used a different plaster that has more of a blue color to give it that deeper blue look.
Great work! You should be very proud of your efforts. You have certainly increased your resale value as well as the value of having a home so nice you don't want to move.

One I do not want to give off the wrong impression. It is my parents home, Ill be a freshmen in college next month. Funny how they get the house all cleaned up once both their children start leaving.

You have a very nice home! But we do need to see more pics of the cars and the garage.
By the end of next year we hopefully will have 2 new cars for my mom and dad. Mom is looking at a new ML350 or waiting to see what the new X5 will offer when it comes out. Dad is up in the air, Z4, M3, 550i or M5.
Wish some of that rain you're talking about would come over to Longview-about 45 min away. Are you going to Baylor? I noticed the trailer hitch cover on the white suburban.

Wow, thats quite a project you have taken on. I bet you have a lot of time and money invested in the remodel. I really like your back doors and your fence, ist it wrought iron or aluminum?
Wrought Iron. The back doors really opened up the back yard. Amazing what those little bars hide by breaking up the windows. After it is all said and done the remodeling bill will run betwoo 50-60K, but itll add around 100-120K to the price for when my parents sell the house. They are looking at moving into a smaller house in 3-5 years because their "babies" have moved on.
