Well today I was done with then engine compartment, The story on that pic with everything all taped off was….



I was taking everything off the wheel wells and then clear coated the red, It wasn’t to much fun after I started but it was to late then I was a few coats with wet sanding in between. It was no where as easy as I thought it was going to be. So here are 2 pics of it finished, it is 11:34 pm Friday night, Show at 9 am

Thinking about doing the same thing with my Mustang. Ford doesn't clear coat the paint in the engine bay in the Mustang on most colors, my Laser Red included. :nixweiss

I Didn’t clear everything…. Just the red wheel wells and some of the fire wall and some in front of the Radiator on the shroud. Start by taking off everything! Light wet sand then start with spraying the clear. I got some stuff from a painter friend of mine and used a sprayer with my Air compressor. It took wayyyyyy more time just to dissemble and reassemble everything than it did just to do the clearing of the red.

Ya it is for my friend Shane that got killed in 2002, it use to be his car. I had a post about it a few years ago....
