Rejex vs. Klasse

Hey guys,

I've been scanning the boards for a while and have learned a tremendous amount, so first off: Thank you! Secondly, I've got some questions. I've used Rejex twice and love the stuff. I've only done one coat so far, followed by a coat of P21S wax. I think the protection is great but I keep getting these little pollen drops which seem to be leaving dull spots on my paint after I wipe them away with QD. Obviously, I'm worried about how much protection I'm getting. I haven't tried polishing yet, but when I do, what would you guys recommend sealing with? I seem to have some options:



Klasse-let cure-Rejex-let cure-Final wax

Layered Klasse with Wax

Layered Rejex with Wax



Any other options/suggestions?

I have used Rejex and Klasse. I feel that the performance of both are very similiar. My recommendation would to follow Rejex with either another coat of Rejex or a carnuba wax. If you use Klasse, follow it with Klasse Sealant or a carnuba wax. I would advise against applying Klasse over Rejex or vice versa.

I would agree with this too. 2 coats of Rejex to ensure that you have complete coverage. I wouldn't mix them either. Good luck!
 
You're pollen dropplets issue is due to the use of wax over a sealant. Wax when warm on a finish traps pollen like flypaper. After a full spring day, I found this out the hard way long ago and it still holds true to all "natural" waxes. Fully synthetic waxes seem not as effected by this and are really a sealant since there is no real "wax" in the formula.



If you just stay with a sealant, you'll not have the problem with pollen sticking. Sealants seem to ward off pollen from sticking. Mostly, it can be wiped off. If only some areas stick after use of a sealant, you may have missed that spot, or did not lety it cure enough on the finish prior to wiping off the sealant.



I love the look of a sealant/wax combo, very clear with deep wet look.



Therefore, if you do not mind washing off the pollen and dried dropplets than stick with your combo. Otherwise, try just one sealant and not top it with a wax.



As for Rejex/Klasse debate, most of the Porsche owners who do not use Zaino will always use Rejex. You may want to try both. See which one you like and lasts long enough for you.

they are both low quality products to be quite honest, i tried Klasse and it gave my paint clarit but not much else, save ur money and buy meguiars tech wax, a synthetic sealant that loooks like a carnauba wax
 
I'm a Rejex fan. But for the best results, 2 to 3 coats, with at least 12 hours between coats gives me the best results. No waxes over it unless it's going to 'show' or 'garage queen', not a daily driver.

many here, including myself have had durability issues with NXT



For highest protection/durability I would use opti-seal, wolfgang, Klasse AIO+SG, or Zaino
 
I agree, NXT 2.0 is no quality product at all IMHO. I get better durability from OCW and that is a spray wax and 10 times faster and easier to use also.
 
Well, I guess this thread is turning into a "favorite sealant" thread, so let's hear 'em. Basically, I love Rejex and I want to hear reasons why I should use something else.

Let's see, I have a lot of experience with both Rejex and the Klasse twins. I can tell you this with certainty: Klasse, when properly applied, lasts a LOT longer than Rejex (if that matters to you). I found the tremendous initial slickness of Rejex to disappear far too quick for my liking. The Klasse products are truly a great solution for those not wanting to wax/seal frequently. it's that simple.

There are so many options, choose one and apply it often.

It definitely does matter to me. If I layer Klasse twice, would it be a bad idea to follow up with wax?
 
I've certainly topped it with a carnauba. I've always liked Klasse...it offers BIG bang for the $$$.



The best quick "pick-me-up" I found was the sonus Acrylic Glanz every few months. You could extend the protection for a long, long time using this product.

That's another thing, I love Sonus. From all the threads of people preferences in polishes, I'm pretty shocked at the lack of Sonus users, but I'll save that for another thread. :-)
 
my best recommendation is to get small bottles of Klasse and try it for a year and see how you feel about. Worse case, sell it to me if it's not meeting your expectations. I still consider it to be the Swiss Army knife of detailing products.

As stated in my earlier post, I have both Rejex and Klasse. My personal preference is Klasse ( although Rejex worked just fine, I just thought that Klasse imparted a nicer shine on my finish). They are both quality products. I have not tries Ultima, Sonus, Optimum,Danase although many people seem to rave about these products. Obviously, everyone is going to have their "favorite" and rave about it, but try a sample of some products that you are interested to changing it up. The ultimate goal is to protect your paint and you are on the right track with either Rejex or Klasse.
