Reducing Vibration on a PC7424 w/ 7.5 pads?

I have an issue with the 7.5" Lake Country pads causing some pretty good vibration on my PC, it has the 6" counterweight, it's tolerable on speeds less than 4.5, anything higher is not comfortable at all to hold the machine. Any ideas besides going back to 6" pads and there's no 7" counterweights either? Thanks!

What kind of backing plate do you have? Some are lighter and/or smaller and will reduce the vibes that way, but I hope they have enough grip still (depends on what your PC method is though).

4DSC, I have the 6" backing plate made by PC, it's pretty thick. I assume when I actually put the pad to the car, the vibration will lesson. Thanks!

I use my PC on speed 6 all the time with the 6" counterweight and 7.5" pads.

I use the 6 inch backing plate that CMA sells.

There is vibrartion given that its cranked up as high as it goes, but, I have had no major problems. It is kind of uncomfortable, but I can cope with it.

I guess that you'll have to "tough" it up and adjust to it! Like I mentioned, when its cranked up (like with anything) to the highest speed, you're going to get vibrartion.

I don't know (or can't remember? :o) what the PC brand plate weighs, but it's pretty darn big and probably a bit hefty too. Maybe try the Meguiar's backing plate, which is slightly lighter than some of the other 6" and 5" backing plates I have weights for.

Vibrations DO seeme to get noticably worse at higher speeds, but I don't know... it might get amplified when you have more weight on there too.

I just tried 7.5 " pads last week, didn't much care for the experience.

Mine came from Coastal, with 6" cw.

I seldom use the PC above 5. it seemed to be fine, in terms of vibration.

If you were running the 7.5" at 6 w/o any drag, I'm surprised it didn't come off and fly around the neighborhood!
