This is a problem that I encounter when I polish my car. The buff pad turns red, everything picks up the paint color. I am led to beleive that the clearcoat is very thin if there at all. I am not sure if it is a base coat, clear coat system on the volvo. I have not researched it much. and thought I would pose the question to the professional detailers that may have delt with similar situations. I have been detailing for a number of years 11 if I count right, and I have never delt with a vehicle like this until I bought this car. When I polish the car it turns out great, shines, good reflections, soft to the touch, ECT. Here are a few pics of the car after detail.

As you can see the finish is great. so why is it leaking pigment onto my pad ? Can I seal it, or just repaint it:faint:
