Red Tiberon vs. Ex, Int, DIRTY!

I detailed a 2004 Tiberon today for a buddy at a local car club. Described the car to me, so I thought I'd give it a go. At first he wanted just the interior, but after seeing the interior work, he got me to do the exterior too.

In the works for the interior was the normal, just taken to the next level. Seats and dash got a good scrub down and then topped with Wolfegang Leather cleaner and conditioner. This is used as his work car, so don't mind the mess.

Exteriors coming up.

Here are the exterior shots.

I used:

Mothers clay

Poorboys SSR2.5 on a 3M high cut pad. (5 inch)

Klasse AIO

Meguiars NXT

Turtlewax Tire Shine

Chrome polish on the Tip

Aluminum polish and a scouwer pad for the rims.

Detail took close to 8 hours.

Dude, you gotta be patient -- this forum doesn't have THAT fast of traffic :p

Nice work on that interior -- no excuse for that kind of dirt!!

Kudos to you!

That interior came out great, as did the exterior. All around, some great work. Definately something to be proud of!

How does he like those rims? I heard they are VERY light.

So, you thought the paint should be soft and supple, with a lovely matte shine?

LOL!

Very nice detail.. how long did the interior take you? In the after picture of the rim... the tire shine wasn't applied yet, right?

He loves the rims. They were really oxidized when I first started, but they turned out pretty wicked. I sealed them with some Klasse.

Lets just say they looked good on the buick. :)

Interior took me about 3.5 hours. Exterior around 4.5

Oh, and he carries Limestone in the back. No wonder it took 6 oz to condition it. :(

The Tibs are RWD, aren't they? I always considered them an uber chick car until the newer designs came out. With the exception of the headlights (I don't care for them) it's a very handsome car. The wheels look good on it, and give it a nice stance.

He should really consider putting a fakey dirver's side muffler/tip on. IMO, it wouldn't normally be an issue, but this particular car has a pretty big exhaust outlet in the bumper. It looks too incomplete, IMO.

The dude carries limestone in the back of a Tiberon? That's like me hauling gravel in my Lexus.

Maybe you should let him know, he bought the wrong work car ;) :p A Lightning might better suit him.

BTW, what makes his car a GS-R?

No clue. Also, he is doing a true dual with a crazy header setup pretty soon. They're front wheel drive
