...i have a customer who wants me to detial his 348TB and said that he heard one can only use a special type of polish or wax on it because anything else will make the paint come off, like fade i'm guessing.

That sounds like a bunch of BS to me. Any abrasive polish will remove paint, and no pure wax will remove paint. He was probably told at the dealer to use only Ferrari brand wax or something, which would probably be something like S100 marked up to $100/jar.

yeah thats what i was thinking, i'm gonna do a search for some ferrari products but i heard most of these high end brands use ******** and their line in their show rooms? Can anyone confirm.

Almost one year old application of MGC wax, still beads. Doing a full clay, polish, wax this weekend.
