I am sure you could polish them with a polish to make them shine but it will be very difficult to get lasting protection because the of temperatures the calipers get exposed to. No carnauba based wax will work and I don't know if any synthetic and/or sealant can with stand the temperatures either.

I would be more concerned why they are turning pink so quickly. The red calipers on my former Porsche 993 did not turn colors at all, even after track usage. You may want to check with other users of these brakes. You may have a defective paint job from the manufacturer or it could be characteristic of the brakes themselves.

I've been using BF on the black calipers of my S8 and it works well. I first polished just like any other paint, and then applied multiple layers of BF. They stay nice and shiny, no oxidation or other issues, and they clean up easily too.

hey, whats bf ??, bet993 there not going pink by themsleves, its when i put autoglym machine cleaner on them to get the brake dust off them, in normal use they stay red, i just wanted a coat of protection on them

Blackfire?

I don't wax mine, but then again I did them myself and put 4 coats of clear on them. From what you say, it sounds like yours are oxidizing on track days. Perhaps the paint cannot take the heat of competition, thats all I can think of. You can always clean them with a wire brush and lacquer thinner, then reshoot them, and I'm positive that'll fix it.

I've always used AIO on them and had no problems, but my car has never been near a track!

I had them painted about 3 years ago by a good bodyshop and they've stood up well, although they're always wiped clean with a microfibre - never used wheel cleaner on them.

Hope this helps

It seems like the cleaner you are using could be reacting/effecting the paint. I am the first to admit that I am conservative, but I would hesitant to use something that is causing a color change (even if it is temporary). Won't water and a little car wash shampoo take off the brake dust? I have always been able to just wipe my painted calipers clean while washing the rest of the wheel with soap and water. But then again I never use any type of wheel cleaner (except maybe once a year when I take the wheel completely off).

I put a few coats of Zaino on my Brembos when I first put them on, but I have no illusions that it didn't fry off after a few hard stops.
