Red 370z

Friday night about 1 hour before I was going to leave work a salesman approached me with a brand new red 370z that had some white marks in the paint, swirls, rids and bird crap etching. I had and still have no idea what the white marks were. I told him the detailers can try to do something with it, wasn't sure what he wanted me to do as I am a service advisor at work. Well 5 minutes later the new car sales manager approached me and asked what I could do with the car and when. I said I can make it look new and can do it this weekend. I asked where we got the car from and he told me Nissan.... It is brand new off the truck it went into our service dept for its Pre Delivery Inspection and then went to the detailer to remove the shipping stickers, wash, clean window and wax. So they filled the car up and I drove it home.

Friday I inspected it in the garage with my wife and she was shocked how badly this car looked and it was brand new. She was telling me I could not make it look new it is to far gone. Well I had to show her, I did a test spot right there and then, I can see through the polish the paint was looking great, I wiped the polish away and bam scratches. So I polished again wiped in a different direction and scratches. Well she laughed and said see I told you and walked away.

Saturday morning 8am 17 degrees I started the detail, again test spot and found the Shag Rags I had were the only towels not scratching the paint.

Process

Next morning washed with ONR

How does the dealership pay you when you do work like this? Do you have a business license and are capable of writing a receipt for the work?

The car looks amazing now btw. What did the wife say when you were done? Does she believe in your skills now?

She was impressed with it. Thank you for the compliment. The dealer pays me on my commission check.
