Recommendations of Wax or Sealant

I am excited to try BFWD but have been very happy with Collinite Insulator wax as well as rejex. Collinite is slicker and lasts longer but rejex has cleaners in it.

I'm addicted to BFWD. I love has easily it comes off and the slickness is second to none imo. I use it on my wheels to and it's fantastic. You'll love it.

In my experience the easiest sealant is Ultima Paint Guard Plus. The UPGP is very durable. I have also used the Black Fire Wet Diamonds and been impressed with the ease of application and slickness. Cannot speak for durability because I have not done the whole car with proper prep. Just played on select pannels last October. The 845IW was my goto winter LSP prior to UPGP.

As far as waxes, the best beading I have experienced was with P21S 100% Carnuba (gray top). Sadly, it won't last very long in the summer heat! When I did not mind waxing the car ever other weekend, it was fine. Also tried PB Natty's Liquid Blue. Easy on and off, durability was more than P21S and less than sealants.

I am sticking with straight sealants as they last and protect better in my opinion. I also like the crisp reflection of a sealant to the warm glow of a nuba. (personal opinion). I suggest you try all you can and form your own opinion. This forum has been straight but alot have shills that are there to sell products. Once you hang around enough it becomes clear who the good guys are! This forum has a very big BFWD following. I was skeptical about it since it seems to be pushed so often, but after my limited time with it I can tell you it is easy on and off. I applied by and and DA. Maybe the slickest sealant I have used after initial application. made my black DD look darker after application in a very good way.

Best of luck!

This is exactly why I enjoy testing different products myself and posting the results. There are so many different opinions, but very few actual side by side tests to compare the products. It's very interesting to see how the different products compare side by side.

I also us to use UPGP a lot but stopped using once I got my hands on BFWD. I do think UPGP is a great product but it is a little tricky to use. You have to use so little on the applicator and since it's clear, it's really hard to tell if you really covered all the panels or not. Plus there's just that great feeling you get when you wipe off the residue of BFWD because it comes off like butter and the slickness is pure sex.

Well since the thread came back, I will put in my .02.

Blackfire rules!

Disclaimer: currently using Powerlock. Will go back to Blackfire when I run out.

What's the best and easiet wax to use? Should I buy a sealant instead? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I'm trying out Prima's Banana Gloss and it's very easy to use. It also includes a filler (and carnauba) which really looks great. We'll see about durability.
