recommendations for a cutting pad

Rub it out

I have issues
Guys I have been using the Sonis Orange, Green and blue pads with great results. However I'm looking for a more agressive cutting pad to use with the PC and 2.5.
What do you reccomend.

I bought some Edge pads from Dwayne during his big sale before the move. One of the ones I got was a yellow medium cut pad. I think it has quite a bit more bite than the orange Sonus which I had gotten accustomed to using. I would say that the Edge green light cut is about the same as the Sonus orange. This is just personal opinion and I have no way to scientifically back it up. Other people may have different views as well.

:yeah
The only others I can think of other than the Egde yellow would be the Edge black which is really aggressive, maybe too much so, the LC yellow, or Megs burgundy. Best bets would be the Egde Yellow or the LC Yellow.

Get 8" wool pad and rotary(I have it). Nah, seriously get LC yellow pad :headbang

For the LC pads go to Specialty Motoring and for the Egde pads go to Premium Auto Care; both to your left. For the PC I like the LC variable contact pads because of their shape, I think it provides a better "feel". Plus being from NY Scott will have those to you pretty much overnight, they ship from Rochester.

Just a thought , try SSR 3 with your orange pads if your looking to get more aggressive . I think the orange Sonus pad is pretty close to the Yellow Edge . The black Edge pad is real course , I wouldn't use it with 2.5 . The black pad is made in the bigger pads for the rotary.

I've used the Meguiar's cutting pad and a PC with some success........ just to see if it would work.

Just curious, why are you trying to go so aggressive with a PC?

Remember, a PC is a "polisher", it is not a high speed rotary "buffer". A rotary buffer is make to work aggressively........ a PC is not.

Boss, To answer your question. Mainly because I don't have a rotary. Why I was looking for more bite is that I have 3 box trucks (white) and although I wash them regularly they still get hard water streaks that the orange pad and 2.5 (did a good job) did not remove all the residue.
