It is. The more I learn about photography, the more I realize how little I know. 
The only thing I'm really struggling with is quality outdoor images in the 160-200mm range on hazy days or in heavy glare. But obviously that's a function of me, not the camera or lens. Once I get my arms around those types of shots I suspect I'll put the 70-300mm VR lens on my wish-list as well.
