What is your favorite(s) car shampoo that cleans and does not strip wax? Or is there no such thing?

There are plenty of shampoos out there that are great cleaners and LSP safe. Here a few that I have in my arsenal.

Optimum Car Wash
Duragloss 901
BlackFire WD Shampoo
Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds
Ultima Paint Guard Wash

Great selection for anyone to use on their ride.

There are a lot of good soaps to suit your needs: scent, price, cleaning, added shine.

Blackfire Soap
DDJ Born to Be Mild
Auto Finesse Lather
Poorboys

I try to stay on a budget and can't see spending a lot of money. I have used Turtle Wax Zip Wax car wash. It has great cleaning ability, has a wax to help with the shine, has good suds and lubricity for washing. Call me cheap but I use it and it works for me and can't see spending $15, or a lot more on some brands, on a pint of shampoo for the car. JMO.

i have used several. cg included. just finished up cg glosswerks this afternoon. i still always go back to my MEGS HYPER WASH. foams up great in the gun. cleans without stripping. a for the price of a gallon, you will have it a long time!

how come no 1 mentioned chemical guys shampoos, i use it works good, if diluted the wrong way it could strip wax.

Nothing against CG but the only shampoo I have of theirs is citrus wash and only use it to strip any products on the car when I want to apply fresh polish and LSP. I've used Mr. Pink but wasn't too impressed on a more than average dirty car.

Hey guys, I have CG citrus wash and gloss. Its that the one that strips wax and sealant? I usually mix it one cap full (from the 16oz container) to 4 gallons.

It shouldn't strip using 1oz for 4gal of water. I use it as a stripper using 1oz for every gallon of water.

I have a lot of favorite shampoo's for a lot of reasons, maybe all-time favorite being BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Conditioning Shampoo, because I use mainly BLACKFIRE products on my vehicles and each wash rejuvenates the protection/shine.

One of my new favorites is Pinnacle Black Label's shampoo. Super slick, completely free rinsing, and a great smell as well.

+1 on the Zip Wax. Works great without breaking the bank. Not to mention you can run down the street and pick it up at your local wal-mart.

Ardex foamy car wash. This stuff is industrial strength foaming action yet rinses clean. It makes megs gold class seem like watered down dish soap.

Let's not forget about dilution ratio's. Many washes that "seem" expensive are actually cheaper than OTC choices.

Having a DG supplier locally just makes having easy access (to one of the best product lines on the planet) that much sweeter.
