Recieved My Shipment

business%20cards.jpg

I got 5000 of these for about $150 with free shipping from A Better Printer. I don't know if they are still doing the free shipping or not, still a good deal though.

Looks good buick_guy! But, what's "quality pricing" mean?

I too, like imolamystique a few posts above, used greatfx business card and got these 3" x 5" double sided, glossy, heavy stock cards for $95 and free shipping.

I got to know the owner a bit and he printed my tri-fold brochure as well.

I have edited my card to conform with the new forum rules. I took out my contact info and prices.

Mods - if I need to edit my post then let me know, didn't even think about it

Spilchy - how many did you get for the $95? I got 5k 4.5"x5.5" post cards for about $300 or so. I can't remember exactly but I thought it was a pretty good price.

It was 1000

Does anyone know how to put a map on the back of a business card? I see alot of businesses with a map to their location on the back of their card and I wondered how they do this?

I have been a big fan of Overnight Prints their quality is very high and great pricing.

Probably make a map in photoshop or possibly a scan of a detailed map such as ADC. That's how I would do it.

Take a look at what I did in 10 seconds.

I went to MapQuest and plugged in an address and got the image. I downloaded it to my desktop. I opened up Word and imported the image and wrote some quick text. I saved it to my desktop. I opened it back up, selected all, copied and pasted it into MS Paint and saved out as a jpeg.

Ofcourse you can do a much better job with dedicated software for this type of design work like Photoshop or Illustrator

I've heard this is only true if one of their trademarks (ie logo, nameplate...) is visible in the photo.

Not talking about the cars used I ment owner of the photo itself. If it was taken by a private party then used by another person without written consent for commercial use they can sue. Say i take a photo of A car on the lot and post it online then someone uses it for a buisness card. I still own all rights to that picture it cannot be used unless I stated so. Just wanted to let him know so he doesnt get screwed over gotta protect the autopia family :)

Like I said, it wouldn't be my responsiblity.

if the photo has been altered and changed, does it still count as copywrighting?

aka, changed the photo itself in phtoshop for example...

You can change the color crop it etc but no matter what the photo is still owned by the photographer/buisness it belongs to so for commercial use you would need to get written permission or buy the rights to it.
