Received my Kompressor Pads Today!

I tested these pads and I have no issues with their size because they fold or roll over...it's as if they are 6.5 pads.

My white LC kompressor pad did about 15 cars and finally bit the dust. They work great with a Flex orbital and seem to give the Flex less "grab" than with many other pads.

Tested the purple and the white pad tonight...I'll report back more later, but the initial test was very promising. Like someone already said, they're very easy to control, and clean up is a breeze.

Don't be afraid of these because they are 7-inch.

They are really easy to control and don't feel any different than a 6.5 inch pad because they are so 'squishy' and will conform around edges, etc..

I'm digging these pads. Like Rick and some of the others have stated, they don't feel like 7" pads. The white pad is SOOOOOO easy to control. I'm not 100% sold yet, but I'm almost there.

It went really well. I had to do the entire detail today, so I didn't get a chance to do any actual correcting. We're going to hold off until September/October. I just washed it, polished with Pink Moose, and then topped it with P21S 100%. Needless to say, he was VERY pleased.

How did the detail go Casey?

I would as well like some smaller pads beacuse I am using a lighter rotary, who will get very hot if I am using larger pads(over 6"). And I must say that I prefere smaller pads even with a heavy duty Makita, since they are easier to controll and etc.

Same here, Porta. My Flex 3403 lightweight rotary gets hot very quickly with larger pads. Using the KBM method, it does thermal shutdowns quite often. I can't recommend the 3403 to anyone, unfortunately.

Thanks for posting that. I was thinking about selling my metabo and trying out the flex for the trigger mechanism and easy to access speed dial. I've had nothing but good results with the metabo (no overheating or thermal shutdowns) and it seems foolish to switch to a different rotary that may have these issues.
