Hello everyone, I just got my truck back from the Dealership...they decied to be nice and wash it for me, but they didn't dry it very well and left water spots all over the hood of my Carbon Metallic Paint...I thought I would try to wax them out, it really helped, but they are still faintly there....I try to keep the paint as nice as possible, this really bugs me....can anyone give me some advice?? THANKS!!

two things can help....clay the car that should remove the spots, or most of them...what is left can be polished out...I would look for a chemical based polish like PB ...pro-polish....this can be done by hand

You could also use Klasse AIO that is a chemical based cleaner that would remove the spots...it available at most higher end auto parts stores, you can get a clay kit there as well or any German car dealership will have the Klasse

My in-laws live at the Del Webb community in Lincoln

I dont know that there is any "high end auto-parts store" around here, I called the BMW and Mercedes Dealership and they don't carry those Klasse products. Do you know where else I can try, I want to try and clear up these waterspots ASAP. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP!!

Check out Detail City. Troy can get you what ever you need for those water spots. He has all the products that Beemerboy mentioned.

Kargen, Pepboys might have that...also the clay kit....those are Mothers, Meguairs, Clay Magic....I would start with the clay chances are its going to take off the spots...then a good waxing would be the only thing left to do

I buy the mothers clay bar kit if I run out and need it quickly. Its a decent size bar that does a good job, I just wish I could get it without the detail mist.

Stephan

You can get that online if you just want clay only

also have a look at this site and see if they have a local guy...I have on here and can buy all kinds of detail supplies....you will have to call the HQ and ask who they have out your way

Thanks...I sent them a message. I have a guy locally who mainly sells automotive paints, but he carries, pads, Presta Line, and some clay but he is very pricey.
