Just stepped into the bedroom to see what Pumpkin (my cat) was watching on TV. He likes the TV on to keep him company. He was watching Runaway Jury, it's show that deals with this very topic. If you haven't seen it, it's a good watch. Pumpkin was napping to it.And this is a prime example of why the appointment of supreme court justices is so important:

Just visited Thunderbird Tactical in Wichita KS with my wife this afternoon....employees are very friendly and non-threatening.
This is big for a lot of the women shooters out there- they don't want to be made to feel like they are stupid by a tacticool operator....

I don't understand how a gun maker is at fault for something like this. Is an auto maker at fault when a drunk driver kills someone?
Take out the "drunk" part to make it a more direct comparison and.....yeah, IMO they're gonna say that too. Just wait until some [individual] in a Hellcat kills a bunch of innocents. "All that (unnecessary) horsepower!"..."Look at the behavior they model in their ads!"..."You just KNEW it would lead to this!"
IMO it's just a matter of time since Personal Responsibility is out of vogue in these takes-a-village times when everybody's a victim. Anything that *requires* Personal Responsibility is gonna get regulated out the hands of "normal folks" since the average citizen can't be trusted to behave properly and needs to rely on the Govt.![]()
..I put the drunk part on purpose to make it clear it wasn't a rational, well adjusted person to begin with. That part is key in all of this.
She had me shoot it first of course but she loves her Browning Hi-Power and the recoil isn't any more noticeable than the 9mm.
jrock645- If you're buying the long gun for, uhm....social purposes...I'd just get an AK. When people talk about "a defensive rifle" I'd generally choose that anyhow, just a personal preference I guess. But when folks say they "need the AR instead because it's more accurate", I simply gotta laugh unless they're competing/hunting with it. Now if somebody simply prefers the AR, well...OK then
Huh, that's a great example of how "different people are different"!! I find the H-P to be one of the easiest shooting handguns ever with regard to recoil, *NEVER* fired a little 1911 (in any caliber) that compared at all!
Eh, FWIW, my wife is basically impervious to the recoil of a .45 too, doesn't bother her as much as it does me (a somewhat recent development as I get older).
