This is exactly the stuff I love, the actual reason why and how processes work in our business. I love to learn the science of this stuff and this exchange was perfect as to how the mechanics of buffing actually work.

I've been using a diluteable natural citrus and water based polymer based spray from Driven to Perfection products on it's own with a rotary and 90 or 100 ppi foam pad and also an orbital for the past couple years with great success

1. to clean the paint after jewelling/burnishing and add some wetness
2. as a gloss booster with Driven Marine Sealant Glaze which is amazing on over 30 surfaces, not just paint and an amazing sealant.

I'm also a believer in going beyond using cutting abrasives on paint.
Can't wait until I'm over in USA working with my friend Chris and using Surbuf products with a DA and RO

Thought you "chemically corrected paint" with "Glare".......................:huh:
 
Interesting read, just a few questions.

People have listed products that contain fillers and maskers (they dont fill as such, rather mask the defect by covering it) so which products and pads are the best for this technique which don't contain fillers or polymer maskers?

At the moment I use lake gold.
 
Barry knows how to get his boys to wash a car but he's not big on paying his bills, unfortunatly.
Dude stiffed me. He could do the same to you so be careful with this guy. I'd certainly not leave my car with him.

I dont really think this is a mature thing to post on here. you need to keep your personal problems between you and the person they are with and not post them all over the web.

Your post does not offer anything postive to this forum. and I for one dont appreciate you talking about a very respected Detailer and Freind. And from the look of your post count, I would say you just made this acct to log on and whine about this issue. so please take remarks like this to a private message or GTFO.

This asshol has posted the same crap on multiple forums. Go away finally. Just because Barry thought your product was piss poor doesn't give you any reason to tell people to not use him for detailing. Your attempts at discrediting him has failed miserably, just like your services.
