Being that the Baldwin Motion Corvette's are my favorite cars ever, I can really appericate the additions this owner has made to the car. The hood and the fender flares in particular. Just an awesome example of a slighty tricked out Mako Shark.
Great job on it Chad, HOLY CRAP!!!! I had no idea I was hanging out with such a celebrity!!!
What method/product/materials did you use to get the sides of the louvers on the hood/side skirts?
I would really, really like to know what size rims and tires he used on this car. I have a 74 C3 that I bought in 77 with 24,000 miles on it. It now has 74,000 miles and hasn't been used in a while. When I bought it I ordered a factory new LT1 and installed it along with a M22 rock crusher tranny
I want to put a set of ACI fender flares on and his flares look very similar to ACI flares.
The whole point is that his car, flares and tires look exactly like what I'm looking for so if you have the sizes I would really, really appreciate it.
I should mention that you did a fantastic job of making this vette look like a show car. Unbelievable improvement
I wonder how the new Meg's micro-fiber system would have worked of this, I know you can't talk about it yet, LOL.
If you would be kind enough to do that Chad I'd be ever so grateful.
I plan on removing the body and starting from the frame up, sandblasting, painting, putting new what ever it needs and then giving the body a makeover.
I reminded my wife how much fun it used to be going cruising down to Acadia Nat park with the tops out in the summer and she said, yes lets do it. I showed her this one you did and she loved it. With out my mentioning it she said those flairs look just right. Are those Crager SS wheels? I like them much better than mine.
Thanks again Chad. I am very pleased you are willing to do this.
Thanks Chad. Very much appreciated.
I tried to answer last night but my computer decided to do things its way.
This is the info I wanted. I want to put tires and rims on that will fill out the flares and not look too narrow, like a dually truck with the outside tires off.
I do have to replace the bumpers anyway. I was putting an alternator on my plow bronco a few years ago in the middle of a big snowstorm. A friend called and said he would come over and plow me out with his new truck. I had put my vette outside for a few days. Of course he backed into the rear bumper and with it being about 10 deg out, it destroyed it. Then he backed into the drivers side headlight, backed over a nice tree about 5 feet tall I had planted on the lawn and was dragging that around with him caught between the bumper and rear axle and then to top it off he backed into the steps going up to our deck.
Turns out he takes a quick look in his mirrors when he backs up and then just backs up without any more looks. I told him we have to get that tree out from under his truck before he left and he said how in the h$ll did that get there.
Thank you very much Chad and thank your friend/client for me.
