Rasky’s Auto Detailing: 2012 Tacoma, Polish & Opti-Coat

Solid work! As luck would have it i have a black tacoma this weekend i plan to opti coat. I am glag to see it work well on the truck. One question, did you find the paint to be soft and and/or easy to correct?

I'd say It was probably on the soft to medium side. We were able to get out the light marring with 1 pass on most areas, but a few needed 2. Definitely not as soft as my Acura paint. ;)

I have tried that scotch guard aerosol version before, and its very smelly, definitely use it in a well ventilated area. However, scotchguard is available in professional cleaning supply stores in concentrated gallon containers, you can then mix it in a spray bottle, and there is no unpleasant smell, but it will leave the fabric more damp than the aerosol. The gallon containers were expensive last I checked.

Looking good as usual. It is always good to have a partner that loves detailing just as much and is willing to help out. Makes the detail much more fun and enjoyable.
