Rasky's AD: Black 2000 Chevy truck

RaskyR1

Rasky's Auto Detailing
Black 2000 Chevy truck, complete detail (no motor)

This truck belongs to a co-worker/friend of mine. Originally we were only going to do a 1-step correction. After doing a few test panels I was very unhappy with the results I was getting from my 1-step polishes. I called him up and asked for more time and offered to do a 2-step at no extra charge.

I had planned on using M205 as a 1-step via Flex 3401 but it was micro marring like crazy....yet it worked flawlessly on the rotary. :nixweiss

Awesome work as always man! Love seeing your posts.

Did you just clean the jambs with the APC? Also any reason you use two different interior "coatings"?

Thanks!

I used APC, washed them with a mitt and some small brushes, then I went back over them with a quick detailer and a MF as one of my last steps of looking everything over.

I only used the QID on the radio, climate controls, and the speedo. M40 was used on all the vinyl, Hyper Dressing was used on the tires and trim. ;)

Awesome turn around on the rims and paint!

Is that corn in the close up shot of the pedals?

LMAO! I never noticed that! Looks like a Corn Nut! :D

WOW!!! Great job! How do you like the Green Machine?

$90 well spent....it's no Mytee but it can get the job done with the help of some other tools. ;)

Nice! another DD loooking showroom new again. What was used on the tires there again? They look awesome.

Thanks Jake!

Hyper Dressing at 3:1 ratio. I wiped them down after with a MF lightly dampened in HD in order to minimize sling.

+1 on the wheels and tires! They look great!

Thank you!

That is some awesome work inside and out! Plus I must say your garage is very well kept, seems like a great place to detail!

Thank you! I only wish I had running water and a drain. :(

Nice turnaround,BTW did you notice any paint checking on the hood? GM black is notorious for CC failure on the horizontal surfaces.

I didn't see any signs of it....had lots of pitting and chips though. :D
