Rant: Sun Visor Warning Stickers

Those yellow and black stickers that are required on sun visors that tell you about the danger of putting a car seat in the front seat of a car .....aarrrg...

THOSE THINGS DRIVE ME CRAZY.

Most are unremoveable, the glue they have developed for these things is the strongest in the universe. If you do manage to remove them the surface underneath always shows some kind of damage like puckered fabric.

Yeah , its dangerous to put a child car seat in the front seat of a car...ok... I've been warned. But I did pay for the car so why do I have to put up with this nasty looking sticker. I mean, damn, its even it two languages. One of which I don't even speak.

Rant over... thank you

I have to agree, just about all the stickers are common sense, but you know its only there because they were sued once for it, so they are covering their asses for the future. You see how one sue happy person with no common sense can bring everyone else down to their level?

Now if only they could use the same glue for headliners. You would probably be able to extract them with no problems.

You can be sure that the federal government requires those lame stickers, or they wouldn't be there on all cars in approximately the same place, affixed permanantly.

I can't blame the automakers for complying with law, or limiting their liability. On a related note, a friend of mine was telling me that there was a sticker on his old 300zx next to the t-tops that warned drivers from standing on the seats and hanging out the hole in the roof while driving. You can bet that a Darwin Award finalist was responsible for that one.
