Hello all!

Range Rover is big and beautiful car and working with it is a pleasure. ))

But condition of this car was not good.
pics before:

Clearcoat - near soft, very good for polish. but not good for finish I think.
Car polished with Menzerna FG400 and Scholl 17 compounds. Finished with Sonax Perfect finish and coated with nanoceramic coating.

Pics after:

chosen coating:

It took 2 days to work with this car.

Thanks for watching.

Very nice, but I cant help but wonder if people are going right to fg400 without even trying something like Adapt or equivalent. Soft paint, level 10 cut product? I dunno, nice work though.

There were some very experienced Menzerna users here the other day discussing this issue... Apparently FG400 can be as gentle as you need it to be with different pad selections. Some use it as a go to with a softer pad to break down chemical residue and whatnot even if they don't need a really deep mechanical cut. It was an interesting discussion from some highly experience detailers.

I have Makita 9227 rotor polisher, rotor Flex 14-2 150 and two Rupes 15.

Cool. And I've often heard that with soft paint, compounding on a rotary can finish better than a finer polish on a DA, since the paint is so soft you just get haze from a DA polish.
