Random thoughts thread

Hahhaa, yeah anything from there will make you get so mad you throw something. Then you grab a drink to calm yourself, then repeat a couple times till the last time you throw something you wind up falling down. Not that, uh, yea.

Why do you think we swedes can handle alot of drinks LOL We blameing it on IKEA LOL

If I where to be a little serious. IKEA is not so bad and there is some good things to get there. So a visit to see what they have could be worth it.

Brandt, Hope this a good recovering day for you ! Prayers are still going out and will never end...
I have an idea -- How about we put together a List (strictly voluntary) of anyone that is going through health challenges ,so that we can have their names and we will always include them in our daily prayers??? Just a thought..

Once I helped a friend of the Ex`s remodel a home she owned that was a rental..
I did most of the work, and ran the project for things I had vendors do...

Gutted the entire kitchen for starters and one day she shows up with a zillion pounds of these big honking boxes of - IKEA Kitchen Cabinets !!!!!
Upper and lower cabinets for the entire kitchen !!!!
Once I got the swedish translation translated into something I could understand :)- along with the pictures - I got into the zone and put all these bad boys together.
Hung the upper ones, got the lower ones all in with new appliances, etc., and the kitchen looked ---- FABULOUS !!!!
IKEA does make good stuff, you just have to be patient with how they designed it to be put together - which is really a great design, that won`t break or fall apart easily..

And as /Tony said, you can get some good food there too !!!

Thanks Dan...and guess what, that iKea by my house is actually iDea Schools. Hahaha
I`m so messed up lately and on so many pills that I read IKEA and not IDEA... but if you look at it, it LOOKS like the same font and colors. My mom, who is a stroke victim and usually makes those mistakes judgements still wont let me live that one down.

So I Google IKEA coming to Kyle and it says there is one coming. I didn`t read into when or where.

I feel like I`m in some other dimension. Lol

Triple insulated garage door coming this week!!

Brandt !
Congrats on the new insulated garage door!
Have had a couple now and they are absolutely the best way to really knock off a lot of heat if your door faces South and West like mine does..

Just make sure that the installer knows how to either tighten up the spring/s holding the door, or installs new ones, to compensate for the added weight, ok ??
And of course, will have to re-balance the door when it is off the opener, so it will stay up when its up and not come down suddenly because the springs are not able to handle the heavier weight..

Good luck ! Enjoy !!

Thanks Dan.
I`m sure they know what they`re doing. I`ve known them for my entire life.

I have a Smoke Daddy which looks like Traeger. It works well but I don`t feel it imparts enough smoke flavor on it`s own. I add a smoke box on top of the burner to solve that. It is great in the winter though

After years of looking and looking, finally bought my condo down in Tulum. Winter be damned!

I wish. Just came back
last week and did not take any. Won`t be back down to Oct. So maybe then. Lets say it`s
1.Small (2 bd-2 bath)
2. Great courtyard and pool
3. The best feature-paid for :)

Am I the only one that sneaks out to my garage early in the morning or late at night in only my boxers and will clean the windows or do a little touch up detailing on my car?!?!?!

I just posted this

@RepMaxineWaters So bottom line...... You`re a liberal, I`m a conservative. But I bet we still have some common ground. I think we should meet over lunch and discuss it like civilized people. Since the Red Hen won`t let me in, how does Chik-fil-A sound?

Locked myself in the garage checking on a painting project early in the morning once. But I was in briefs not boxers.:o

Heh heh, you guys who go outdoors in your underwear...I think twice about leaving my property a t-shirt except for dog outings (only time I go anywhere in shorts). I`d *never* go to Denny`s in bluejeans or athletic shoes, nor to a grocery in a t-shirt.

And I could pull it off (regardless of how you define "it" ;) ) physique-wise ;)

My late nextdoor neighbor did his yardwork (and he was at it daily through his mid-80s) in crisp, pressed work clothes, long pants and sleeves, only the top button on his shirt undone even in hot weather. Freshly oiled work boots, combed hair, completely put-together every time I saw him and that was pretty much daily. He`d smile and say in his broken English "Is hot, no? But not so bad."

For that matter, when Accumulatorette grew up down in TN, a woman wouldn`t leave the house without nylons, a hat, and even gloves, and men kept their jackets on and ties cinched, in extremely hot and humid weather. You know, back before A/C was common...

Look Sharp Be Sharp as they say in the military.
