Ran out of sunlight...re-apply paint cleaner?

Hi all, newbie to the forum. I spent most of the day with my Concorde cleaning it up but after applying Meguiar's paint cleaner (the car looks a lot better) and starting the polish I ran out of sunlight! DOH...unfortunately the car sits outside most of the week (I live in an apt complex with open lot parking) and it's really been battered with scratches and neglect. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago for 2000 bucks after putting my 2000 Taurus SEL into a wall at 70 mph (oops). It will get cool tonight and there will probably be condensation on the car in the morning when I get to it. Should there be any reservations to just applying polish and wax to it in the morning or should I reapply the paint cleaner? Should I even be concerned about it? Thanks in advance for your help.

I would just suggest washing the car again tomorrow with normal car soap. Then apply your polish and waxes/sealants.

You never want to polish your car unless it is dry and clean. If it has sat outside long enough for condensation to form on it, then you can pretty much be sure that dust has settled on it as well. Re-wash it and then start polishing. Nothing is worth the risk of rubbing dirt all over your car and scratching it up real bad. Better safe than sorry. You may be able to get away with QDing the whole car, but I'd stick to rewashing it if it were me.

Thanks folks. We have a frost advisory tomorrow morning and that is what concerned me the most. The car needs a lot of work but it really looked good after being the subject of neglect for quite some time. Thanks again for the help.

Rightlane...got it and read it (the first 8 chapters). Obviously I'm going to order the rest. This site has been a godsend for me so far! :)

Thanks for the heads up and the help.
