rain-x winshield wax, ughhhhh

I used some of rain-x's windshield wax on my car last week and I was highly disappointed. That stuff would not come off the windshield. I had to use isopropyl alcohol to remove it from my windows. I have used regular rain-x with no problem for 20 years and this new stuff is by far the worst stuff I've seen from rain-x. I looked on their website and they no longer even list it in their products, so I guess I'm not the only one to discover that it is a POS:mad:. I e-mailed rain-x with my complaint and I have never heard back from them:wall. I'm almost tempted to switch my allegiance to aquapel. I'm gonna rain-x another chance but everyone should stay clear of their windshield wax.
 
The only Rain-X I buy is their windshield washer fluid, with water repel. Works every bit as good as the other Rainx windshield products, but will not leave any film and works great with the wipers. And, you can add more water repellent at any time by just flicking the wipers! :D
 
I don't use Rain-X on my car, but I've noticed when I drive my dads chevy lumina (never washed/outside 24/7) he uses Rain-X and it last a long time. It's the only part of the car that actually beads.

I have had nothing but good luck with the original rain-x windshield treatment but their windshield wax is worthless. I'm gonna try out the aquapel but it is so much more expensive than rain-x and I don't mind doing my windows every month. I was just complaining about their wax because most of the time I have nothing but good things to say about their stuff. I once waxed my car windows with the left over collinite 476s on the pad from my last wax session. That stuff lasts everywhere except where the wipers are, but once windshield wipers get to work on it, it only lasted about 1 week in heavy rain.
