Rain X (Or Similar) And Heated Side Mirrors

Is it a good idea or not ?



Are modern side mirrors even glass anymore - they feel warmer / a bit more like plastic ?

I think the modern ones are plastic, I use Gtech G1 on mine without any problems

I know that Honda heated side mirrors are glass.

The heated mirrors on my wife's Edge and my F150 are glass...

It's a 2011 sportage. I have had another look today and I think they are glass as they felt as cold as the side window next to them



So no problems with the rain x and the heat then ?

I've put rainx on all my glass and actually stopped putting it on the side mirrors. The heading action makes it very difficult to see anything and the wind doesn't get to the glass to blow the water off as easily as the windshield. So all you look at are water beads and not the cars behind you. Same goes for the back window in my cases.

Shouldn't be I've had Aquartz and Rain X on my heated side mirrors. Thank god for those two, someone stole one of my wind shield wipers today luckily it's raining hard enough so that the beads just carry all the water down the wind shield
