1. Packaging & Labeling.
The bottle is a Clear PVC Plastic with your average stick on labels.

2. Helpful instructions on label?
Directions are on the back of label. They are clear and easy to read. The label offers precautionary measures. first Aide directions. It also says it contains surfacants.

3. Does product do what the manufacturer claims it does?
A little early for me to say. I purchased the product today. I will say Rain X cleaned up real nice. There is some overcast today ,but as of yet i haven't seen any streaking/hazing.

4. Value. Is the product a good buy?
Rain X was cheaper then may of the Glass Cleaners on the shelf @ $2.99 for 23 FL OZ this averages out to .23 per oz. Does a little go a long way?
I used it just like any other cleaner

5. Easy to use? Yes
Did you read the directions and use as directed? Yes

6. Is it safe for enthusiasts (YES) Rain X is also Safe For Tinted Windows.
should it be for professional use only? (NO)

7. Describe the product smell, Smells like Windex
viscosity and other physical traits if any,
Clear Liquid, The consistency of water.

The Glass had a just polished look, also i was impressed with the slickness of the glass. Rain X is new to me so i will have to get back to
guys to see if there is any streaking/hazing. I am also curious to see if it will out perform other cleaners when it comes to visabiliy during rain.

I do like it. I have several bottles of it and the Stoners. I tend to pick up the Stoners more than the Rain X. I think the Stoners cuts the dirt a little faster.
When I used the Rain X, at night I would notice some smears more than with the Stomers. Still it is a good product versus a lot of others.

My outer windows where dust not dirty. When there like this i us a dampen MF to remove the dust, then polish out the glass with a clean towel.

I also use IG but for some reason i'm having a lot of smaring on the inner rear glass. Murrays didn't have Megs NXT cleaner so i pickedup the Rain X to give a try plus it was only $2.99. I have used other Rain X items and have been pleased with them all. Have you noticed better visiabilty
with the Rain X. It did leave the glass very slick with a polished look.

Blueline,Thanks for taking the time to read/reply. It is appreciated.
to try out.

The Rain X is what I used for a while before trying Stoners IG. It was the best I had tried to date. I cannot say that visablity was better than with the IG , but it was very good compared to Windex or such. I would recommend it and IG to anyone looking for a good auto glass cleaner. I would also like to try the NXT glass cleaner for comparative purpose. I hear it's also very good.

Joe....

another good use for the rain-x window cleaner is the house windows...try it...works great....since they are not being abraded by wipers it lasts a long time and keeps the windows spotless...no water spots at all...it is not a bad product at all....good review Joe

I washed the car and went to dinner last night and it started to rain so this gave me a chance to check rain X visability. I agree with you on the visability. although the glass was clear with some streaking from the wipers i can't say the visability was any different. Stoners seem to be a little better in this dept. The reason i say this is because the IG will bead up and roll of the windsheild. another thing i noticed with IG is that the windows are very crisp, clean no reflection were as the Rain X although clear it was very reflective.

Al ,how can i convince my wife to do this :)

Overall Rain X did what the manufactor claimed, except i cant say the visabilty was better then one product or another.

I use the Rain X on my computer monitor and the Television and other glass around the house. I think it works much better than Windex. I am single so I do not have to haggle with what gets used around the house.
I was going to say that I thought that the IG did a better job of beading rain off the glass. I also noticed the streaking with the wipers. I was at Walmart and the Rain X was $2.72 and the IG was $3.47 for the spray bottles. Oh yeah, You did a very good job on the review.
