Quickest midwest source for backing plates?

I finally bought a PC at Lowes tonight and I need to get a backing plate for the foam pads. I already have a few pads I've been using with my Bosch RO, but I need to put my PC to use ASAP. I just got my car back yesterday from having some body work done and they managed to install some nice swirls when they buffed out the paint before delivery. I'd like to tackle this while the paint's as fresh as possible, but my Bosch is tediously slow. I spent 20 minutes on about 2 sq/ft tonight with #80 and there's still work to do. I'm also disgusted that a couple bird bombs landed on the hood of the car today and etched the fresh paint before I found them to clean them off. Since then I've washed the whole car with QEW, gone over the affected spots with #80, and then some Mequiar's Paint Cleaner #1. Any other ideas?

Anyway, I live in southwest Missouri near Springfield and I need some recommendations on what source can get me a velcro backing plate the fastest so I can put my PC to work. I'll probably be traveling around the state some over the next few days, to Jefferson City and probably St. Louis, in case there are any local outlets anyone knows where I could just pick one up.

I decided I can't let a beautiful day like today go to waste, so I went for a jury-rigged temporary solution by getting some Velcro with heavy-duty adhesive to put on the sanding plate on the PC, so I'll carefully use that for now, but I'd still love to find a source that can get me a backing plate quickly. I'll probably be driving into Springfield tomorrow, so I'll call the body shop supply house I know of there and see if they carry any in stock. I'm not holding my breath on that and I just don't know which of the online supply places have the best rep for quick shipping, especially in the midwest.

Yup, I know that. I have been trying to do some polishing with #80 today and it's frustrating. Admittedly I a complete novice with the PC and I'm sure that's most of it, but I've been working and working and going through plenty of #80 on the same quarter of the hood this morning with only minimal results. I've gotta figure out a better technique or I'm not going to do much more than waste product and time. I'm using a convoluted semi-firm cutting or polishing pad (I think it's a Speedy Foam pad, yellow). I've tried the PC set at 2, then at 5 or 6, with a little pressue and with virtually no pressure. I sure as heck wish someone lived around this area that was willing to give me a quick demo, but I'm not exactly holding my breath on that. I have a couple other finishing pads, a blue Speedy Foam and a Mequiars 9000. At this point I'm not completely sure whether I'm inducing some more swirls in the new paint while trying to get others out, or whether I'm just not getting the old ones out. Because of that, I can't tell whether I'm using the wrong product, pad, or whatever else.
