Well after detailing several cars this weekend, thought I would spend time on my own ride this Thanksgiving Day(Cdn)

My Lancer was last detailed in mid April this year with Meg's #82 and sealed with M21 and a coat of 845IW and has been treated with OCW between months.

Today's quick detail:

Foamgunned with RainX soap

Coat with OCW

Topped with Collinite 845IW by hand

Meg's Hotshine on the wheels

Fixed the hundred of nicks after last falls slim jim attack around the handle, removed handle and wetsand all around the handle area, filled in the nicks with quick putty, wet sand again and applied 2 coats of basecoat and wet sanded between coats plus several clearcoats and blended in the paint with PC and polishing pad with Meg's #80. The blending took two hours with the PC. I should have applied another coat of base, but I was running out of paint and time.

how do you like the paint of the lancers? i had a great time detailing one because i was able to cruise right through it with my PC.

Well the Lancers have clearcoats for metallics and single stage for solids. I know the single stage paints are very hard and are proned to stone chips. The clearcoat is average like any other make I have detailed.
