Quick question

Lets say I'm washing my car with car wash soap and water. I am using a MF Mitt (or some kind of mitt) and washing it. I am just curious, is there a best way to go about?



Is it possible to rub dirt around and create scratches? I've read about how people are oh-so-careful when drying to prevent this, but havent read any threads about this for doing the washing itself.
