Quick Question ASAP: Mothers Claybar & washing

Thanks for stopping in. I'm actually in the middle of detailing my car right now, so that's why the urgent message :)

If I use Mothers Clay system with the Showtime Instant Detailer it comes with, and if I use soapy water to lube the clay (and spray the Showtime ID on the car, of course), do I need to re-wash, or can I just rinse and then move on to my Meg's #7 Glaze and then #20 Polymer Sealant?

Thanks for helping me out!

There is no need to do a wash after claying if the claying is done correctly. Just clay as you wash, using the soapy water as your lube. You can save the QD for after the wash if you want. :)

:yeah

Save the QD spray for some other touch ups.

The 4oz of cleaner wax is great for door jams, I just tried this the other day...or I just give it away and try and lure a friend into the detailing black hole! :D

can you lube your clay by dipping it in a soapy bucket?

You probably wouldn't get enough lube that way. either spray some QD on the panel surface or add some soapy water to the surface. Make sure you have enough lube - just dipping the clay in soapy water probably will NOT work.
