quick question about the pc 7424

I am going to order the pc 7424 from autogeek.net,

now this does not come with a 6.5 backingplate, but comes with a 6" pad and the counter weight,
am i gonna have to buy a 6.5" baking plate if i am going to be using the megs 6.5" pads?(8006)

you'll be fine . Personally I like the 7 1/2 's from lake country. www.pakshak.com

The bigger pads give you more coverage and a lip over the backing plate so no damage to mirrors or trim etc.

alright, just to make sure i understood this right, if i buy the porter cable that comes stock w/ the 6" pad and counter weight, and if im gonna be using the megs 6.5 pads, im not gonna need an xtra backing plate?

Wrong!
If you plan on using hook & loop pads, (Velcro), you will need a hook & loop backing plate. If you are buying from Auto Geek, give then a call before you place the order. They can explain what you need.
