Quick OTC Interior Product

I did a full blown detail of my car last weekend. But tommorrow my wife and I are going for a drive up through the mountains and I want my car looking its best. I plan on doing a wash, dry, window clean, and tire dressing before we head out. I would also like to give the interior a quick once over.

I'm just going to shake out the floor mats and put some kind of dressing on the dash and console. Has anyone used those armor all wipes? Is there something OTC that I can get before tommorrow that I can apply quickly with decent results?

I use Professionals, No More Cracks and Peels watermelon scent from advanced auto and love it. I know most people scoff at me from here but everybody I talk to that uses it really likes it also. OTC and cheap!

I sent for the 303 sample kit after hearing everybody rave about it, but Ghaleon is asking for a quick OTC product. I'm sure the boutique products are much better though.

Well, spraying it on the dash and wiping it off would be fairly quick. ;)

I tried megs Interior QD and it didnt really do anything of me? I think it actually made it look worse.

This is the first negative comment I've ever heard about Meg's QID. It's not a dressing, FYI. It leaves a CLEAN matte finish. Were you expecting something different? How did it make it worse?

I really like meguiars Natural Shine. Gives a little bit of gloss but nothing really greasy like most other protectants I have tried. Good Luck.

Thats what I use..

The megs interior QD made all the chrome around my shifter and Radio/A/C controls all streaky. It left a weird film on the doors and did nothing for the dash. I guess I was expecting it to leave some shine and when it didnt I was happy with it. It doesnt protect so I dont really see the use for it. I can use Natural shine just as quick and it leaves a shine and protects.. :getdown

Megs #40 is still my favorite dash protectant, and is available OTC in a lot of places (Kragen/Checker comes to mind)..

another vote for meg's QID here. Great product, and smells pretty good too! Unforunately (or fortunately? It's all subjective ;)) the smell fades away pretty quickly (within a few hours), but it doesn't matter because it gets the job done, and gets it done well.

Although I've only applied it once, my plan is 303 every month, then wipe with meg's every week.

Also, I've actually been able to wipe off oils and gunk with some meg's and a MF towel, plus some elbow grease. Call me weird, but it seemed to work :nixweiss .

I do that on my steering wheel and shifter every week now to keep the oils from building up, and seems to work all right. I just don't use as much pressure now since I've started using 303.

This is what I use too. It is definitely not like Armor All, it doesn't make things shine, but it is a really great product and as was mentioned leaves a good matte finish.

As for 303, I use that on my soft top, but never have tried it on the interior :nixweiss

I use the Armor All with Oxy-Clean on the carpets when I'm just doing a quick once over...

im in with the gang that uses megs qd - really cant beat if for otc - bottle says it has mild protectants, but i just use it for dusting, an interior really outta be followd up with some mirror glaze or natural shine protectant to really dress it up or protect it from uv . . .

MG OTC . . . may not be the best, may not suck, i like it, and its a sure bet for kragens or pep boys . . .price isnt to bad - check for coupons too (yes, i use coupons, because i am poor, and have no shame) guys seem to alwayshave their mg stuff on sale too . . .

Hmm, I guess Ill have to give this stuff another try.. Ill keep it in my jeep along with some MF's and clean my dash with it from time to time to see what I think.. :nixweiss

303 is available OTC here in SoCal. I use it for the interior (including leather seats), for plastic, and for tires. Works great.
