Quick Look: Infinite Use Detail Juice and SM Arnold Speedy Prep Towel

Thanks Troy.

It's not wax based, it's polymer based, just like ONR and Opti-Clean, as well as several other of the waterless/rinseless products on the market (which as we all know are commonly used for clay lube and interior cleaning).

As I demonstrated in the video with the Prep Towel, there's no interference at all with the clay/decon process, and as for the interior I've been using it for a few months now on the interior of both my GMCs and they look great. The polymers primarily serve as a bit of UV protection in that application.

Thanks for the clarification Charlie. I thought that was the case but I didn't want to "assume", because you know how that goes.

I would also like to hear more of your thoughts on the new prep towel.

Thanks for the review!

Thanks Al :bigups

I tried to order some of this a month or so ago, but wasn't familiar with paying through google...I think that's what it was. Been meaning to give Garry a call but I've been really busy with a family member in the hospital.

Yeah, Bill, that was the first time I had paid through Google as well and it's a little different, but not too bad compared to PayPal. Hopefully Garry's new site/store will be up soon so it'll be easier to pay, but definitely give him a call when you get a chance. Hope your family member feels better soon!

Those are some expensive towels.

Yeah for sure; the main reason I decided to try it was that they say it'll do at least 100 cars, so it's $0.50-0.60 per "application" and because it's a flexible towel, I feel that it does a better job of getting into tight spots than the sponge. So far I'm really impressed with it.

Thanks Troy! I'll definitely follow up once I use the towel a few more times.

One thing I will say is that most of the reviews I've seen/read so far about the Nanoskin version specifically say you have to use their lubricant, whereas the SM Arnold instructions say "Speedy Surface Prep Towel works great with your favorite showroom prep or clay lubricant product" and as far as I've experienced, the IUDJ is very much effective in that role.

Charles- thanks for the review. I've now tried the Detailing Juice and also Garry's Ridiculous Reflections Wax....both great.

Im placing an order with Garry in the next day or so thanks to your review. I look forward to trying his stuff out :)

Thanks! If you like the Ridiculous Reflections wax, just wait until you try the new Eye Candy wax he just released... probably the easiest paste wax to work with I've ever used, and it looks great on metallics.

Nice! Guarantee you won't be disappointed; I'm not typically one to get behind a particular product or line of products unless it truly does impress me, and I have to say there are a number of hidden gems among Garry's lineup. :bigups

Plus 1 on Eye Candy!

That's with a first gen I phone pic.

Not highjacking just wanted to show what this wax looks like.;)

Great review. How agrees is the towel tho? Is the towel semi aggressive like medium grade clay? Or is it softer?

I would say it's definitely like medium grade clay, if not more aggressive.

Since I created that video I've had the opportunity to use the towel on softer finishes and I've found that it can have a bit of a wet sanding effect similar to that of 4000 grit. Not a big deal really if you're polishing out the paint afterward, but having a finer grade towel will be a nice additional option.
