Quick hose off?

Hey guys,



Just curious for opinions on doing a quick hose off between washings. I'm in LA and there has been ash falling on my car due to the fires. I don't have time to wash the car properly, but I was wonder if hosing the car off before stuff gets caked on is a good idea or not...I was also pondering spritzing the car with a bit of ONR QD and then hosing it off just so there was some lube on there.



Thoughts?

Ash is both abrasive and acidic.



I'd want to get it off my car as soon as possible, and I'd want to be careful about it.



Personally, I'd spray the car off at a hand bay, then do a quick ONR.



Not sure exactly what to tell you if you don't have time to wash.



I personally wouldn't just hose the car off becuase I'd be concerned about water spots. I wouldn't just QD and wipe it down because I'd be concerned about the abrasiveness of the ash itself.



Time vs how much you care about your finish I guess.



Maybe somebody else will chime in with a better suggestion, but I'd be making some time for some frequent ONR's until the fires are over.
 
I've been dealing with the constant ash fall as well. I usually drive around first to blow off the loose stuff then proceed to an ONR bath.



One bucket, one grit guard and one mitt. I've been trying to do this every other day so the build-up doesn't get too bad. But it's up to you whether or not to use two buckets.
 
Thanks guys...I guess I was thinking I could spray some ONR QD on the car and then hose it all off...I was hoping I could just wait till this passes and then give the car a good clean rather than having to clean it every two days, ahah...ah, to have a garage...:-)
