quick details vs duster

I had terrible trouble with the local wand washes. Lots of micro scratches/swirls likely induced by drying or possibly from the intense pressure inherent in the DIY wash. I am another one who says go for either the QEW or the Optimim No Rinse Wash and Shine. Both are amazing products. The Optimum leaves the surface slicker and a bit shinier but they are both great products.

I dread the winter when I have to use the wand once in a while just to get the massive amount of salt and dirt off before I use one of the above products. BTW, we have really hard well water and I have never had any problem with spotting or anything else while using these products and I have never induced a scratch or a swirl. Add in the microfiber products and you'll be set and you'll likely get more satisfaction from your detailing and your truck.

I found some on pakshak that say ultra plus for like 6 bucks :) Should i be using those to remove wax too instead of the diapers? I've always been told diapers were the best but heck this site is teaching me a whole new experience :)

Diapers have no nap, so they aren't great for removing wax/polish/etc, and aren't great for QDing either.

Get a bunch of microfiber (MF) products for working on your car. Wax/polish removal will be a ton easier.
