Quick Details on an Audi S4 and Roush Mustang

Haven't had a lot of time to do any detailing lately, but as school started, I started taking care of these two for a couple classmates. Both beautiful vehicles in their own way.

First up, the Audi S4 :drool. This car was detailed with #80/NXT over 5 months ago. Decent slickness, good look, good beading, but also have to mention that it was car covered for a 3 month summer with no driving. It's also parked in a carport every night. Regardless, NXT has done well with weekly QD'ing. Today I decided not to QD so that you could get an idea of how NXT looked after 5 months. I will probably polish again soon and top with UPP for winter.

Now, the Roush is a GREAT looking car. The lines are soo much more aggressive than the stock GT Mustang. Unfortunately, the owner says he gets FAR too much attention in it. Everyone wants to race him and someone even vandalized it for no reason :(.

As shown in the pics, someone hit his car on purpose (witnesses attest), spit on his windshield, poured a sticky drink down the side, and put their cigarettes out on his plastic side mirrors :angry. Thankfully the only permanent damage done was with the hit and it turns out the witnesses caught the plate number. Anyways, I used some Goof-Off to remove the paint transfer as well as the black tire marks. It is FAR less noticeable now.

Also, that black stuff behind the wheels on the rockers that I WISHED were tire sling, was actually tar :(. I spend about 20 minutes de-tarring the lower panels. When all was said and done:

Wow that Roush does have some aggressive lines. Kind of weird to see an antenna on it, though. It's a shame people have to be such knobs. :(

You did a really nice job taking that paint transfer off. Was there any real damage from the cigarettes on the mirrors?

SICK CAR HOLY CRAP wow that mustang is unbelievable, both the car itself and the detail. i am drooling. i can't wait until i can afford a car like that

Very nice work, Sean. I really do get sick of the people who just don't care, and will wreck something nice out of spite for the person who worked hard to get it.

Also, I thought that the roush had a black sail pannel out back with different tail lights? Or am I thinking of the Seleen S281?

WOW...that Mustang is unreal. Great work Sean. I can't understand some people sometimes. I can't even imagine how I would react if I caught someone doing those things to my cars.... :grrr :grrr

Wow, those cars both look fantastic.

The Roush Stage 1 for 2005 is nice, but I was disappointed to learn that the only real performance mod in there is an exhaust. Everything else is cosmetic for now. I'm sure additional mods will come later.

That's not to take anything from the detail or the look of the car itself. I'd definitely drive one. ;)

Very nice cars, The new mustang looks very good after the detail. The v8 S4's are very fun cars to drive, I am a big fan, Good work

Sean,

Man, that Roush Stang dont have super charge in it? My friend have 2002 Roush Stang c-top and it super charged. Great job on both cars :bigups

Stage 1 on the Roush. Just appearance and exhaust (sounds sweet). Stages 2 and 3 are either out now or should be VERY soon.

Thanks everyone.

Thomas:

#425 is one of the best non-carnauba QD's I've used. It's about as slick as S+W over the surface, leaves no streaking that I could find (even on windows), and left a bling bling shined surface. I am very happy with it now, just awaiting to see how it does with dust repelling :).

Turbo Wax Tire Gel still tops my arsenal, I am just using up my arsenal before I order a big bottle of it.

Nice to see NXT is holding up well on the S4. It may have been covered for 3 months but you have more than 2 months of normal wear and tear on the finish too. That Roush Mustang is awesome!

:)

Thomas: I recieved a 2 oz sample of it that I got over 50 tires out of!!! I was referring to the 16 oz, yep.

How are your experiences with #425? What have you compared it to?

Scott: I agree. The QD a week helps a bunch I know.
