Hello,



I want a recommendation on a QD that is good for hard water spots after a wash and for bird bombs. Also it's for a black car so it should not streak when used in the sun.

Meguiar's Last Touch works exceptionally well for removing relatively fresh water spots for me. It is also very high in lubricity so it is a good choice to gently remove bird bombs.



As for use in the sun, that's really not possible in true hot direct sun... black cars can get over 200 degrees in the sun. Now, "direct sun" on a spring day at some points may not mean much and be fine, but a hot black car that is hot enough to turn water into steam during a wash isn't going to take well to ANY QD.

Yes do not do this. I didnt let my black car cool down enough from the sun when I used my last touch. Looked good in the garage but then in the sun, major major hazing. Probly dried as soon as i sprayed it on. I think it reacted with the DODO juice and had to reapply the sealant and wax. Otherwise the stuff is great! Use it on my wifes dark metallic grey for bird bombs all the time. And smells nice!
