Quick Detailer over NXT

A question for you detailer gurus/gods,

Suggestion for a quick detail product on a car with NXT?

I have their wax spray touch-up thingie. Didn't like the

fact you need wait for it to dry and wipe it off - one step too many.

I have some Z6, should i try it (probably defeat the whole

purpose of switching to NXT).

Thanks, dudes.

I have used Meguiar's FI and FD, Poorboy's S&W, and Z6 with excellent results. All on clean vehicles only.

Just a detailing fanatic, not a guru or god. Sorry ;)

Hope this helps.

My fav is Clearkote QS.....But like Blk said, only on fairly clean vehicles....

Thanks WannaSRT, I forgot to mention QS :bow

Absolutely, Clearkote QS was also excellent. :xyxthumbs

So many products, so little time. :wavey

Thanks, guys!!!

But i thought some of these quick detailing stuffs mentioned are organic wax base and you don't want to mix synthetic with organic.

(that is, the next coat of syn will evaporate along with the organic

quick detailing stuff).

The mentioned QD's, except FD, are silicone and wax free. Also the life expectancy of these QD's are very short and should not effect additional application of NXT. Especially sense you will / should wash prior to next waxing. None of these products will withstand a car shampoo. :wavey

For products like SG, GW, and Z, this is usually the case. But in my experience, NXT is the exception. It's loaded with oils, and while Meguiar's marketers and salesmen will say "no no no," I'm willing to categorize it with other 'organic' products. IMO, NXT is synthetic only in name, maybe because most the ingredients are man made. It's interesting how they're not calling it a "polymer sealant."

i'd try som NXT speed detailer-might find it on special at an Autozone-i tried it on a spot on our black fridge and it left a nice slick spot-i suspect that it leaves some kind of polymer film behind-but have no clue as to how durable it would be

Speed Detailer is very nice. I would try that, or maybe PB Spray and Shine, Adams QD, the list goes on.,

Since were on the subject, does anybody have an opinion on the best OTC QD? I basically have the choice of:

Meguiar's Quick Detailer

Meguiar's NXT Speed Detailer

Meguiar's Gold Class Spray Detailer

Mother's Showtime Detailer

EagleOne Spray N' Wipe

I use EO Spray N Wipe with good success, but I am looking to try something new this year. About 10 years ago Armor All made a QD called Armor Plate? That stuff was great, but that was 10 years ago.

Clearkote's Quikshine rocks over NXT and everything else I have used it over. No matter what else I try, I always go back to QS.

I'm currently using NXT paste. I bought NXT Speed Detailer. It works very well with the wax but it tends to streak. You need 2 towels to QD using it. I like EO on NXT also, Meg's Quik Detailer doesn't seem to work as good as EO or SD on NXT.
