Questions regarding Wheels, Tires, and Wells

Ok, advice time...

What is everyone's procedure for doing these 3? Clean and then dress?

What procedure should I use to clean the wells/tires to get them in a state to be dressed?

I'm having some issues getting a good application down, should I be doing multiple coats? What should I use to apply?

I have Megs #38 and PB Trim Restore currently.

off-topic... i'm going to run down to AutoZone in a bit, anyone have a recommendation for a engine cleaner/degreaser?

Thank you :)

Personally, first I spray the wheels, tires AND wells with whatever wheel/tire cleaner I'm using. And I let it dwell for a minute or so. I then use a rough tire brush to scrub the tires first, THEN a lambswool mit for the wheels (no brushes for fear of scratching). After I scrub those 2 I move onto the wells. I give them a quick spray again, use a long rough brush to get back there and scrub the heck out of them. Finally I hose everything down, wheels, tires and wells, and repeat 3 more times on the other wheels. I then dry the tires and wells and use a tire spray (i don't remember the exact brand, I just switched from NXT insane tire shine) on the tires, wipe it in with a foam applicator, and then spray the wells with the same product. I then dry the wheels so any tire shine overspray is wiped off as well. And i basically let the wells dry. It works on my car because my wells are plastic and they look great afterwards. I'd even reccomend spraying a little degreaser on the wells along with the cleaner of your choice. But NXT insanse worked great on the wells too.

edit: I believe the tire product I used was black magic tire shine and it looks GREAT. Its a spray on with a gel-like consistancy and it still shows after i drove in a downpour
