Questions for Optimum Poli-Seal users ... one-step OR do you top it?

this stuff can get addicting to use, as mentioned in a previous post I seem to use quite a bit of it when using it that I see why they sold it as the gallon jug to start with. :dance

like the others I have been topping it. this weekend I polisealed then 476 then AW, should hold up for a week or so :grinno:

I have one question, since OPS contains polish, when I apply it with a PC, do I need to break it down like a polish? Or just spread with pc and wipe off?

I use it like a polish. It will break down a lot quicker than a regular polish. It basically disappears into the paint.

I spread it around with the PC on 5 using a polishing pad then up to 6 for 1-2 slow passes and like you say, it just disappears. Reminds me a lot of Clearkote's RMG the way it seems to melt into the paint...and yes, the idea of mixing the two has crossed my mind...

What about mixing 106FF with Poli-Seal to cut down on the dusting?

Should work but I'd definitely use a wax or sealant over it because the sealant would be dilluted by the 106FF.

Think I saw one of your posts for a "show car" finish suggesting 106FF, then PS and carnuba topping. Love the 106, but the dusting is awful.
