Question on topping EX with Natty's

It's 10.00am Sunday morning here in Australia and I have just applied a coat of EX to my wifes car, while I am waiting I thought I would the question below:

How long should I wait before I top the EX with Natty's is 1 hour long enough or does EX need to cure overnight ?

Her car spends most days parked outside at Brisbane Airport getting covered in jet fuel, water spots from sprinklers and bird droppings. Last November I used Wolfgang products on it and a couple of weeks ago I noticed the beading had diminished although the surface was still really slick.

Yesterday I washed, polished with PPwC using a Green Edge 2000 pad on my PC, then applied a coat of EX using a White Edge 2000 pad on the PC. (claying wasnt required, the surface was nice and smooth all over)

This morning I decided I would add another layer of EX by hand (PC is at my warehouse) and then top with Natty's, hence my question above.

In fact the car had a quite a day yesterday, I also replaced the spark plugs, oil, oil fliter and cleaned the engine !!!

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

Dave,

EX is mostly a polymer coating. Polymers should be given some time to cure before touching them with anything. I would give it a few hours before applying anything. Overnight would be better. Of course, this is not manadatory, and it doesn't hurt to top right away, but I think the results are better if you let it the EX cure for a bit.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the response guys, my wife has had to take the car out for a few hours.

Due to work commitments this week I wont be able to get to it again for a while so I have decided to put the Natty's on this evening when she gets home. That will give 6 or 7 hours for the EX to cure.

Cheers
Dave.

side note: ex never beads for me. it does more of a sheeting action but never beads. only the first day i applied it and it rianed 2 hours later. every other time ive used ex, beading was definately not there.

It is interesting you say that EX doesnt bead, as I had the same feeling about WG DGS.

What I found was, the the WG would bead for about 3 weeks then it sheeted, however the slickness was still there and it still looked great. In the end the WG DSG was on the car for 4 months and this time around I didnt need to clay so I guess it was still offering protection even though it didnt bead. As stated earlier this is on my wifes car which gets a nice covering jet fuel fall out amongst other things everyday.

I will be interested to watch the PB's products in action, the Natty's really made the metal flake pop. (the car is a metallic beige Hyundai)

Cheers
Dave.
