Question on Natty's removal

My L5-S1 is killing me!
Just tried Natty's for the first time --- real good product! I think I like it over S100. I applied to half my hood with a PVA, waited about 10 minutes, and then buffed off.

It was not *difficult* to remove, but I hate rubbing a dry mf over the paint with moderate pressure...

One question - is it ok to use a little bit of S&W or plain water on my mf when I buff off the Natty's? (to help to remove the residue more quickly with less pressure). Would that screw up the curing of the wax?
 
Natty's should be fairly easy to remove if it's applied thinly (a couple swipes with the applicator should cover a door sized panel). I actually prefer to use a slightly damp yellow foam applicator with Natty's. It allows me to apply a thinner layer than the PVA applicator. The opposite is true for creamy textured products like the EXs. For those products, the PVA gives me a thinner layer than the yellow foam applicator.

In any case, it should be okay to use a little S&W to help remove residue. But, it's easier to just get learn how to apply the Natty's thinly enough to avoid that step.

[Edit: Poorboy's Velvet Smooth towel and the DF Towel work exceptionally well at removing paste wax residue.]
 
I had a problem applying Natty's evenly the first time too, it was also my first time using the PVA applicator. It was kind of hard to remove, the second time around I got the hang of it and learned I was applying it too thickly. Before I was just using half of the applicator which is how I use the foam applicators, but with the PVA applicator I think the key is to press it flat onto the paint.

When there is excess residue I usually just spray some water on the paint, and wipe it down with MF, that's usually good enough. I think I got this from Menzerna?
 
I cut 1/4 of the PVA off and am using that to apply. The smaller size fits well in the jar. If I used less product, it seemed to dry too fast. I will try the foam applicator too.

I'll continue to experiment.....just wanted to make sure the water/S&W does not interfere with the Natty's somehow.

Is it easier to remove Natty's after it dries for a bit (10 minutes) or easier to remove right after you apply it like S100?
 
I've tried Natty's as both a WOWO product, and a haze-up product. I prefer to let it haze up. If applied in light coats, it will haze up after a panel or two, and remove with ease. I also like to use a foam applicator misted with a little FD. For removal, I really love the DF Towel.............. and yes, occasionally you will get some light dusting................. that wll usually happen any time you use a carnauba product that hazes up. I always keep another DF Towel handy and give it a light mist of FD to remove any dusting.
 
I agree Boss, the resiliency of Natty's is greater than a P21S/S100 or even Trade Secret. You can leave it on there longer than a couple minutes and still buff off with ease. I typically have done a panel or two before buffing, where as the products above, I typically have to keep to a smaller square before buffing.

I personally haven't left it on there for 30 minutes, but I don't see it doing much more to the finish once it has hazed over :dunno

As for application, I use a PVA that I cut to fit the jar. On my other pastes, I use a yellow megs hand applicator spitzed with Adam's Detail Spray. For removal, I use a Poorboy's Velvet Smooth MF towel misted with the Adam's also.
