Hello,
Purchased a used 2012 Ford Fusion in Steel Metallic Blue back in April. The car dealership used a rotary on the car at some point in time. While the paint looks mostly defect free, when you see the paint in the sunlight, you can see the "3D" hologram look. I have the following options: HD Cut+, HD Polish+, HD Adapt and Meguiars D300. For pads, I have 5.5" Buff & Shine Orange cutting, Green polishing and Black finishing, as well as Megs 5" Microfiber Cutting discs. Any chance anyone thinks I could get away with Polish+ on a black finishing, or green polishing pad. I would like to one step this if possible. I am fairly sure Adapt will do the job with the orange pad, if not the green pad, I just don`t want to have to polish out after Adapt if I can help it. I will be using a GG6 with a 5" B&S backing plate, or the Megs backing plate if I have to step up the the DAMF pad and compound. I just don`t have much experience with removing holograms, so seeking any advice I can get. Thank you!
